Nocturna is a collaboration between pianist Anne D. Young and violist Miriam English Ward. We enjoy introducing audiences to all aspects of music from the new and unusual to the richest works of the classical repertoire.
Nocturna focuses on recital programs, master classes, events and collaborative media performances.
On our concerts this season we are performing our own composition with looping effects and improvisation based on a melody of Richard the Lionhearted (1157-1199), titled No Captive. We'll also be playing Temptations, a work written for Miriam by Jon Artexte-Bilbao.
